Dirt, Legos and airplanes

We're still waiting for the warming temps to come around so we can really enjoy getting outside, but in the meantime, we'll soak in the gorgeous sunshine!
I think there will be lots of digging in our future. Thank goodness for that great big sandbox in the backyard!!!!Breven has become Noah's shadow.
Anything and everything Noah does and says, there is a little "Re-Pete" coming right behind him:)
Noah: Full of energy, words and imagination. He's just hit the point where he has discovered B will do pretty much anything he says and tries to get B to do all his chores for him. He's showing us his little stubborn, strong will a lot lately and he has been bitten by the popular boy bug...LEGOS. Its pretty much all he plays with anymore.
.
B is showing us that while he loves to imitate his really cool brother, he definitely has a mind of his own. He's more sensitive, strong willed and compassionate. I thought we'd seen strongwilled and dealt with it all before, but that was before B decided to show us how its done. He's definitely hit the "2" mark and lets us know when he doesn't want to obey and cooperate.
Our favorite things he does: He shrugs his ear and shoulder together while saying "can't" whenever he doesn't want to do something.
He just stopped saying it but he used to say "Mahmon" when he wanted you to come with him somewhere.
He loves to fill us in on how people are feeling along with some other commentory remarks: Bweven happy, Noah ky (cry), Noah trouble, Daddy happy...
And if there's ever a time when I really need some love, I can count on B. If I ever need a hug and kiss from the boys and they won't give them to me, all I need to do is act sad and B is right there to make it all better. Horrible I know, but a Mama's got to resort to all kinds of tricks to keep getting the love-they start to get stingy with their hugs and kisses. The nerve:):)
I looked over from putting something away, to see this. They were watching a far away airplane.

Looks like we still have some work to do

Well, hello! Why yes, this is my popcorn.
And No, I'm not sharing it with you.
We've been dealing with a lack of sharing at our house. The boys seem to know just the right toy to grab from the other to make them scream. And I have yet to find a way to always know who was in the wrong. I know I need to keep my eagle eye on them at all times, but alas, that trait is still not fully developed in this Mama.
And everytime we deal with it, it always amazes me how quickly their little sin nature reveals itself. And yet, it takes months (and possibly years) to instill honesty, kindness, politeness, gentleness, self-control...
Thank goodness God gives us 18 years to work through it with them because I know its going to take ATLEAST that long to figure it out:)
Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.

A new way to get comfy

I let the boys watch a couple shows on PBS in the morning. One day after coming out from getting ready, I discovered a certain someone had found a new way to get comfy...
(There goes that silly grin again...)
I guess sometimes, you just gotta put your feet up!

Let's do some fishing!

Breven got this fishing game for his birthday and we pulled it out the other night. It actually spins really fast and its no longer a magnet fishing pole and magnetic fish, you have to get the fish to bite down on the pole.
After about 3 minutes of trying to get the fish to bite his pole, Breven dropped the pole and started pulling them out with his hands. All the while cheering himself on with each "catch" "Yea! Breven yea!"
If only fishing were really that easy!

Apparently, turning 2 makes you silly

This post is waaaaay behind the times, but still thought all those silly grins could make any Monday better...
I think its safe to say that turning 2 is definitely a good thing:)
