Week 1 down...one lifetime to go

We survived!!!!!
And would you believe it, Mommy didn't ruin either of us! (atleast not yet:))
Noah was trying to play with Breven...but it looks like it will be a while before Breven will push the truck back to Noah:)
Noah loves to get as close to Breven as he can get:)  (note: you know, I am bound and determined that Breven will have as many pics of him as we have of Noah. The only problem is that Noah will also be in every single one:) Thats the difference of the first and second born.)
Noah is constantly asking to hold Breven. I'm just glad he has accepted Breven, so hold him all you want, Noah. But only as long as Mommy or Daddy can help:)
We have been spending a lot of time like this throughout the week. Reading books and snuggling  has never been so much fun.
And of course, what Noah does with Mommy, he also wants to do with Daddy...only this time, lets add a sucker into the mix. There's no competing with a sucker:)
I don't think he understands that by dress up, you can't dress up as a block by using the block box.:)
I took this picture to show just how little Breven is. He is still in newborn clothes! This is a 0-3 month outfit that still swims on him! I think Noah only wore Newborn clothes for the first few days!
And a little proof that Breven has his moments too:)
This is how we give Breven a bath. I love to help Mommy and play with Breven.
Lolli with her grandsons
Ohhh..what a great picture! That one's definitely a keeper!

He's already a month old!!

Its already been a month and what a good month it has been! His entrance into our lives was so smooth, it almost doesn't seem right:) He's been so laid back, relaxed and already knows how to go with the flow. There's really not a whole lot that phases him! I know I keep saying that, but there isn't much more to say.
Thank you, God, for our second little miracle! Happy 1 month, Breven! We love you so much and are you glad you are a part of our family.

Pictures galore!

Its amazing when I look back on these pics, its hard to believe they were just last week! There are so many I had to choose from and I just couldn't decide. So you get a posting of pics! Enjoy!!
Mommy and her boys
What a great looking family!
Lolli and Poppi are such great grandparents! Our time together made us with we were closer.
I love that Breven is staring at Noah...like "how does this work, big brother?"
A family of boys...
Noah loved having his Lolli around. He spent so much time with her while she was here, even the bathroom wasn't off limits!
Well, two out of three happy is better than none!:) (and Breven isn't unhappy very often!)
Brothers...I can't wait to see their relationship grow with them. Noah loves to hold Breven and asks all the time.
Snuggling in bed before the rest of the family wakes up.
Sleeping with Daddy just like Noah used to!
Its amazing to me how the same 2 people can produce children who look so different! Noah has a rounder face, darker hair, eyes and skin tone-in fact, he is referred to as Aaron's mini-me ALL the time. Breven is definitely not a mini-me of Aaron, he looks so much more like me, fair, red hair and he has blue eyes. I wonder if his eyes will change or will he be the first one in our family to break away from the brown eyes.
Noah also loves to kiss his baby brother
I love all the funny faces Breven makes:)
Noah was helping Lolli play Mexican train. He couldn't quite understand that the point of the game isn't to knock down all the tiles you have lined up. And why on earth would you ever give up that tile and put it in the middle of the table? Thats just silly, there are plenty of other tiles already out there.
This picture proves why I am more of the photographer and less of the photographee? (is that a word?) I have the worst post-pregnancy hair! I have this wave of little hairs at the front that refuse to cooperate!
And of course, we had to do a little dress up! Grandma GG bought this outfit for Breven when we went to visit her and it was just too cute. I have been saving it for his first trip to church, but it still swims on him! (we are still in newborn outfits! everything else is still too big. I think Noah was out of newborn after the first few days!)
Past and Present
I think we'll be doing a lot of these as we take similar pics of the boys. I love to see the comparison of them. The good thing of them looking completely opposite is that we won't confuse their baby pics!
Can you guess who's who?

Day 1-Just me and the boys

Aaron's mom left this morning, which means...I'm by myself!!! YIKES! Here goes nothing.
I have honestly been dreading this day for weeks. It meant the end of our company, the end of family in town. And it meant I was going to be flying solo with one boy nursing every few hours and the other potty training. I knew deep down that I could handle it, but there was still a small part of me that was scared to death:):)
Both my mom and Aaron's mom have been a TREMENDOUS blessing to me in these last couple of weeks. Not only did they do so much to help out around the house, but they played a key role in potty training Noah and also keeping me company. I have to say its been pretty nice having someone around to talk to. Thank you to you both! You will never know just how much I appreciate all you have done!!!!
So...how is the day going you ask? Its actually going....GREAT! I'm really surprised. Noah has had a rough couple of Mondays and I didn't expect this to be any different, but he has been an angel today. I actually had both boys fed, dressed, and my shower finished all before 9:30! I have to say I was pretty shocked myself.
And during my shower, when Breven started to cry, Noah was gently (he surprised me!) trying to give Breven his pacifier and talking to him. He did great. My only problem was what to do from 9:30 until 12 when we had lunch? I haven't had this much open time in a long time! But we managed to fill it with cars, N's computer, nursing, potty training and a little bit of a movie:)
Now, both boys are asleep and I'm about to join them, knowing that I have made it through the hard part of my day! YEA!
I think I'm going to be okay at this after all:)

Family fun

We are having so much fun with Aaron's parents here.  We have been enjoying some quality time at home...especially with all the snow we are getting. (sorry Mom!!) Noah is keeping them entertained and on their toes. And Breven is amazing all of us with his calm, mellow personality.
Potty training Noah is going extremely well! He is doing great, aside from the few accidents, but that's bound to happen right?:) You know, as crazy as we thought we were  when we started this, this has really proven to be the perfect time...what with all the extra hands around to help get him to the potty. I am so thankful for all their help!!!
The only thing that would make this picture any better is another little, um, I mean big boy in the pic.
How...I come in peace. Chief No clothes declares today a day to take a nap.
Here is my cute little snuggle-bug.
Poppi enjoys some cuddle time too!
And of course, what weekend is complete without a little work too. Thanks Poppi and Aaron for all your hard work on the dishwasher!!! Noah loved his little play area:)
Doesn't he look all cozy in his frog towel? Thanks Auntie Marlene and Uncle Mike!!
Breven's starting to stay awake longer periods of time. I love how he is just studying Lolli.
Poppi and Noah are bonding while watching Noah's favorite movie...Madagascar 2

A look at the world through the eyes of Breven

Breven here. I told Mommy I wanted to show you around. Daddy and Noah are so much fun to play with.
I had to have the mittens on for a long time because of my long nails. Since I had to have them on for so long, I thought I'd have a little fun with Mommy. Everytime she'd turn around, I'd sneak a finger or two out!
Daddy has been calling me Chief No Clothes...I don't know what that means?
Mommy calls me snuggle bug. I love to hear her heartbeat.
I'm even helping Mommy work on the blog.
No one can snuggle me like my Mama!
Aren't we a great looking family? Noah's teaching me all kinds of new things, he sure talks alot!
This is my Lolli. I know you already know that, but I wanted to tell you too.
And of course, whats a blog post without a couple of good pictures of both Noah and I.
And I'm finding out that Mama and Daddy have some really great friends. They even brought us dinner!!!
And Noah wanted me to tell you that he's having lots of fun too. He's so glad Nonni and Lolli and Poppi have been able to visit.
Whew! That wore me out...I think I'll go take a nap.
