Visit with Stephs

I was so disappointed to see I only had a few pictures of our visit with Steph. But then I remembered that she had a lot more pics on her camera, so hopefully soon, I'll post some more of our visit.
We had such fun! A nice, relaxing time to just hang out. Thats the best kind of visit. We even fit in some shopping along the way:)
And of course, no visit is complete without a game of memory

Reasons to smile

These smile gets me every time.
His impression of a monkey...pretty good, eh?
Hi! I know this shirt says "If you think I'm cute you should see my Daddy.", but its really the other way around:)
Oh, okay...its really all three of us.:)
Time for a haircut- The 3rd time ever!!!!!

Summer has arrived!!!

Don't worry, I've found a way to make sure Daddy doesn't go anywhere, hehe.
I think these look better on me, what do you think?
This is how we find Noah after he has fallen asleep every night lately-with a stuffed animal inside his shirt.
What do you think of my new hat?
Such a cute little naked boy!! He is now sucking on his fingers constantly.
Here maybe another true depiction of their relationship. Hopefully they can still be good friends despite their times like this:)

Oh the places you'll go!

Just think of the amount of ground these little feet cover every day. I imagine they resemble the Family Circus cartoons that have little dashes all over the place from where the kids have been. Thank goodness they don't leave actual dashes...I would HATE to clean that up!
Noah begs to get into the crib with Breven...and every once in awhile, under constant supervision (those feet seem to be everywhere, including on Breven's head) we allow them this chance.
Noah wanted to flex for you. I challenge any of you to beat him!:)
Hmm, Daddy...Thats not the way I would have gotten it done. But I suppose I'll let you slide this time. Next time, you'd get it done faster if you just listen to my idea.
My snuggle bug strikes again!

April showers bring May flowers...wait...where are the flowers?

So I'm  a bit confused...I thought April was supposed to have all the rain and the nice, warm sunny days were supposed to begin in May. Umm...where are the nice, warm sunny days?!?! Did summer forget. HELLO!! Are you there Summer? Its me, Emily. I CAN NOT survive without you!! Please, please....could you please grace us with your presence sometime in the next couple of days. And if you could be so kind, I'd like you to stay for an extended holiday with us. I couldn't imagine what will happen if you decide to take your own vacation and make us launch into fall already!
I love this picture...from the shoes that are several feet too big to the umbrella that comes down to his waist! He had a ball with it. Just don't let him near any cars or anything breakable!
I rediscovered a long lost friend. I just have to think of what I need it to say. Where did that "M" go?
Noah with our friend, James. They were having so much fun being pushed around the house in the laundry basket. I can already imagine all the fun Noah and Breven will enjoy as Mommy gets her leg workout!
I just know I can get 'em both in here if I try hard enough...just wait, I'll show you.
The robe is being passed down.  Why they make these for his age is beyond me...they sure don't stay covered! Although, he sure is cute!
I just can't get enough of this smile. And those cheeks are practically begging to be kissed!
He looks so relaxed...wanna join him?
And this is the picture that shows me what is to come...any guesses?
(I'd love to see what kind of captions you would put for this pic...let me know!!)

Accessories for his new love...

So what does every good biker need?!?! Why, a tattoo of course:)
(In no way is this blog endorsing or opposing tattoos. It is simply implying that rub off Jamba Juice tattoos (gotta love their great drinks!!) and 2 year olds makes for an awful lot of fun:))

Baby Hot tub

When Noah was a baby, we discovered we had a baby hot tub. Okay, so it wasn't full of water, but became a great place for Noah to hang out as we got ready in the morning.
So of course we had to continue it on with Breven...
I thought it would be a great height to keep Noah fingers away from Breven face, but big brother is so smart, he went and got his step stool so he could see Breven. :)

Faces...

These are the faces of the men I love. And aside from my relationship with God, these faces are the reason I get up every morning. They remind me that there is more to the world than my needs and wants. And they remind me that life is to be lived and enjoyed.
I couldn't imagine my life anymore without them and I have got to say...I'm living the dream. Hopefully I can be the mother they need and can instill in them a passion and desire for a relationship with Christ.

Isn't he getting so big?!?! Where does the time go?
These overalls make him look so much more grown up!
Getting ready to play a game of memory...Noah's favorite game to play.
My snugglebug in action again. Blink and you might miss him:)
He's becoming more and more awake and aware. I love seeing the little blue eyes watching me.
Just check out those cheeks! That alone makes them look like brothers!
Hopefully these 2 will remain this close:)
I love the blank expression on Breven's face.
My mothers day has been great...church, Breven's dedication at church, Chipotle, relaxing with my boys, and time with friends...what could be better?!?

For the love of dirt...

Genesis 3:17-18

To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you, through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

When God commanded that Adam would have to work the ground, I think God must have also placed in man something of a love/hate relationship for it. Yes, it entails lots of hard work, but at times they are also drawn to the dirt, the worms and anything else they can spot within that soil.
And so, begins my own sons love...all he has wanted to do in the few times we have been able to get outdoors is spoon shovelfuls of dirt into his sandpail or dumptruck. And the little boy next door also has the same love, so when the two get together, they have a ball.
