A day in the life...

Wanna see a typical day at my house is like?
After waking up and having breakfast, gotta practice my crawling thing...
Do a little handyman work,
side note: check out Noah's socks...aren't they cool? He told me the giraffe is Melman from Madagascar, whoever that is.
Send Noah off to school at his castle,
Hang out with our friend and playmate, E. M.
Spend a little quality time with my big brother,
And then after lunch and nap, its snack time!!!
Animal crackers are so yummy!
But this my friends, is definitely one of the best part of the day(besides food times)...
Wrestling!!! Daddy, Noah and I get to play and wrestle together.
Look out, Daddy. Here I come!!
Mama! He pushed me!
Yes, Daddy. This would make me feel better.
But now I'm getting hungry again...could I have something to eat?
"I'll help you, Breven!"
Who better to help me than a super hero. Thank you, Superman!
And isn't he so talented, he's talking to his "boss" while he's feeding me!
And then comes Mama's favorite part of the day...snuggle time and reading time.
...and a little tickling:)

Boy overload

Are you sure you're ready for this? Cause like Mama said, its a true overload
Why do they insist on sticking all of this furniture right in the way? I mean, come on, a guy's gotta get around and this is cramping my style.
But I gotta say, there's a whole new world out there now. Who knew this amazing toy was in Noah's bedroom. Mental note: gotta visit there more often.
Okay, now I saw this picture and this is just not fair. Why wasn't I invited? I never got to see this cake. I was there for Daddy's birthday so when did they eat this? Mama?
I hear lots of people say that Noah is Daddy's mini me, but I just don't see it. Do you?
See, I told you I liked this table, I just have to keep coming back to it.
And a side note to those still learning to stand up like me: its better to spread out a little when you're standing up, cause you don't fall over so much.
Mama just wanted to include this one since she liked it. I like to put my head down when I get excited.
Snuggling with Daddy and reading a book.
And since I was in a snuggling mood, I had to squeeze some snuggle time in with Noah. I love my brother.

what's it gonna take?!?!?

I'm always trying to get a photo of the boys and well...lets just say...uh, no. Not happening. Its absolutely impossible to get both boys looking at the camera, smiling and happy at the same time. And here's proof:
Take 1-apparently monkey and blanket are much more interesting than that camera.
Take 2-huh. Do they not understand that I'm trying to take a picture here? :)
Take 3-okay, Noah. Please remember that you are the example here.
Can you show Breven how to look at the camera?
Take 4-Oh, its just no use:) Can you see my white flag? I surrender.

Love those red tags

A friend called this past weekend and wanted to go do some shopping. After Christmas and birthdays, I was supposed to be just window shopping, but who can pass up on these red tags?!? And even better, everything was 50% off the lowest price! WAHOO!
Not only did I get some great friend time in, but I was able to add to my wardrobe and my family's wardrobes at some super cheap prices!
And it turns out that I only spent 17% of the retail price!!!
Did someone say the word sale? Where?!? Look out, here comes the lastest bargain shopper!

Aaron's crazy birthday celebration

For our birthdays each year, we hire a babysitter and spend a night on the town. The birthday person gets to pick what we do and lets face it...there really isn't much more to do than dinner, go see a movie or go bowling. We'd rather watch movies at home and bowling doesn't always appeal so...how do we spend that precious time away from the kiddos?
By doing crazy things like we did this past Friday night for Aaron's birthday. We dropped the kids off at our friend, Lori's house, drove 2 hours into Chicago, stood waiting for 2 hours at one of our favorite restaurants...
ate for an hour and then drove 2 hours back home.
Yes. The food really is that good. We just wish there was one closer. And it was great to get quality time to talk with no one interrupting.
Love you, babe and hope you had as much fun as I did!! Happy Birthday!

Chief No clothes

As Chief No Clothes, there are so many things I want to do and tell you...
-I declare this week, the week of fun!
-I declare the sun must shine all week
-I declare snowtime over and it must stay that way for a very long time.
Did you know... (some little known facts from Breven Langness)
-snow is cold?
-grilled cheese sandwiches are the best?
-there is a 2 blanket minimum in my bed.
-Roaring when Noah roars at me is so much fun.
-I don't like the toy hippo from Madagascar 2 when he says..."you know I'm every hippos
dream." It makes me get really upset.
-I haven't met a food I didn't like.
-When Mama asks, "how big is Breven"-I finally know the answer she wants. (all you gotta do
is raise your hands up high)
-I love bath time but I don't like sharing it with Noah.
Any kind of love you can get from big brother is welcome.
Except when it means he's stepping on you.

Past and Present

Thought you'd enjoy a couple Past and Present's...
February
We are starting to get to the end of the bottle process. Yes, we still have a a month or two as we transition out of formula and into milk. But we're on the road to saying goodbye!
Just after Breven came home from the hospital.
We needed to bring the swing back up for a friend and thought it might be fun to see how much bigger they both are...what do you think?!?!
In this pic, Noah is 1 1/2. I'm surprised at just how much he still looks the same, only a little bigger!
And now...my 3 year old!

I discovered a new love

...of a certain breakfast food, that is. Crepes!
I wanted to try something different for breakfast this weekend and after spotting a recipe, thought...why not? And I gotta tell you, much easier than I thought. They probably aren't as thin as they should be, but who cares...the family was impressed:) And that's who really matters in my world.
Along with the recipe for crepes, I found a recipe for a cream to go inside and defrosted some frozen strawberries from the freezer. Oh, my, goodness!!! Delicious!
Even a certain little boy was thrilled by them...but who wouldn't be, they're basically thin pancakes. (and notice the sunshine! HALLELUJAH!!! Any more grey weather and you would have found me clawing through the snow just to remind myself that there is green grass out there. And that grass needs the sun to grow, so the sun couldn't abandon me forever!
He even tried to coax a couple extra bites out of Daddy later.

Crikey! I spot a rare breed of Breven!

We're out, in the wilds of Langness territory, trying to capture a Breven on the move. And if we're quiet enough, we might just hear what he's thinking...
Hmm. I wonder what this would taste like over by my bed. I should find out.
Now here comes the hard part. Gotta move that leg out from under me.
That was so easy. And they say I should learn to crawl!
Side note from his Wildlife Specialist: I, the wildlife specialist, often find him like this, wrapped around something. While it is difficult to disengage him from his lastest attempt at movement, he's really getting to know the lower half of all the furniture!
