Breven's silly snorts, part 2

So I haven't done a video in a LONG time and thought I'd better start doing it again. I got stuck in the time warp of watching my little boys as they have been growing, and it amazed me just how fast it is happening.
I have been trying to get this video to work for several weeks now and thanks to my wonderful hubby's work, it finally does!!!! Thanks, Love!
Enjoy.

Guitars, little guys and books

Noah's fascination with guitars has not dwindled. In fact, its only getting stronger. He loves to get out his guitar and microphone and serenade us, but in the instances where its just too far to go to get them, the hairbrush will do:)
Both taking care of their baby's.
Casper's been enjoying some nice warm weather. (he has no idea what kind of weather is to come...oh to only know warm weather!!)
Don't those cheeks just beckon to be kissed? And surprisingly, the eyes are still bright blue-just like Poppi!!
Reading books to Miss Lori. It amazes me that after only a couple of readings, he can read most of the story right back!
Mama wanted to show you how we entertain ourselves while she's getting ready in the morning...
We often start reading books. (Noah told me its better to read well dressed-thats why he's wearing a necklace)
But then...that gets a little boring so we always look for ways to spice things up. Have I told you how yummy books can be?!?!
Hey Noah, you think you can help me out and take me to the cars...I'm ready to be done with the books.
So, he didn't quite take me to the cars, but atleast I can see Mama now!:)

2 little boys in orange

See any resemblance?
(note from the editor: No babies were harmed in the taking of these pictures and both boys are about 7 months old.)

The park in the middle of no where

We just discovered a new park. Its kinda crazy to get there, driving through corn fields, but its such a neat playground. Its huge and has a ton of different things to play on. Whats a bit strange is there isn't anything but the playground. No benches, no trashcans, no trees. Just playground. But never the less, the boys still enjoyed it.
Noah wanted to give you a personal tour...lead on Noah:)
This is the first thing you see. It kinda sways but it takes Daddy a while to make it work. And it was really hot! (Mama said its cause of the sun)
And there's this bridge that connects the whole thing. Its so much fun to run on!
Check out this crazy swing. It wasn't very fun, but Mama and Daddy sure enjoyed it.
I think Breven might have liked it too.
But I like these swings better cause you can go really high!!!
I'm not so sure what Breven thought of it.
And...I'm not sure why Mama took this picture, but I let her put it up anyways.
But the best part of the playground was driving around with Daddy. We were on our trash truck making our rounds. Daddy is a good driver!

Breven and his monkey

See. Look. This is my monkey.
I love him and you'd better not mess with him...
And he's so special, he can do tricks. Watch his cartwheel.
Did you see it?!?!
And he loves to sit on my head like this.
Oh, wait...he's slipping.
There we go. How's the view up there, Monkey?

Trying something new

With Noah, making baby food seemed a bit daunting and overwhelming. So I stuck with the store-bought stuff. Now that I'm a little more comfortable with what a baby needs and what to do, I decided I could make baby food just as easily as I can buy it. I can also give Breven different options like Broccoli and Cauliflower and save some money in the process.
So, in this instance, I bought 2 bags of frozen spinach and cooked it. Then stuck it in the blender with some water and pureed it. Then I freeze it in ice cube trays. (these water bottle ice cube trays are great for making the food easier to store.)
So this is not the picture I intended to use, but a screaming, hungry 7 month old, a chatty and very curious 2 year old, and a blender full of spinach is not a ideal situation to introduce a camera too. Maybe next time I'll feel a little more adventurous. But it gets the idea across.
And ta-da! Tons of food just waiting for Breven. And so far, Breven's still in one piece:)

Uncle Flip Flops visit, part 2

We're been having SOO much fun with Uncle Flip Flop around here,
and we've decided that you should just stay forever, Uncle Flip Flop!!!!
He is so good at reading books, especially the Tiger story!:)
And we share a love of Body Bugs...
And he's so fun to wrestle with.
Well, okay. I really wouldn't know that. Noah's the one to wrestle with him, but that's what he says. Ooh...look, shiny!
I can tell you that he's fun to snuggle with!!
Hey! Check out Noah's tower. Look how tall it is?!?!
Oh, wait. Hold on. Its my turn to throw the football. Now, who should I throw it to?
Here are a couple of Mama's photos. She's constantly clicking the camera!!
Noah was telling me all about these s'mores they had...can't wait to try those!
Just hanging out with my boys. Can you guess what I'm doing, Uncle Flip Flop?!? Getting a little love from my big brother.
'Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."' Matthew 19:14
I've finally figured out how to move around. Mama put Noah and I next to each other and I scooted all the way around to end up like this. Aren't you proud of me?
But I'm really sad now because my Uncle Flip Flop is gone. I want him to come back!!!
"Don't worwy, Bweven. Uncle Fwip Fwop will come back and see us...
I pwomise."
BTW-I keep kicking myself. We went and visited the fire station and went putt-putting and I forgot to bring the camera both times!!! Oh, well. Guess we'll just have to go again.

Uncle Flip Flops visit, part 1

Our night time buddy. Apparently, these frogs are every where this summer, but I haven't seen too many personally, and not from lack of trying. So, my loving hubby took some pics to ensure I would see one.:)
This is what happens when one plays too much golf. Wait. Did I say that outloud?!?!?!
Getting ready for the opening of Notre Dame football. Think he's ready for this season?
Aaron starting him off early:)
(notice the HUGE earphones he insists on wearing anytime he's outside and there is anything loud going on.)
And there are just some traditions you just have to continue. Fruit Pizza, just in time for Uncle Micah's birthday. Don't worry, Uncle Micah, we enjoyed it for you!!
He's just happy to have a new way to see the world.
(Doesn't he just look so snuggly...like you could just squeeze him and love him all over?!?!:))
Noah decided Max, the duck needed shoes for the park too. Too bad they don't stay on:)
And our time at the park...
Our fearless captain and first mates
Checking out something interesting, but there is such a glare off that cute little white head!!
See, just look what I found now that I can sit up!
And did you know a sieve is the best way to corral dynamoes? (or for you that don't speak Noah-ese, dominoes)
My 7 month cutie. WOW! Has it really been that long?
Best buddies!
I love this picture! And B-man's shirt says..."Totally cuter than Daddy" (which in my humble opinion isn't completely true, but its a cute shirt:))
Man, and I thought sitting up was cool...
Uncle Flip Flop's teaching my boys all kinds of new things...like feeding ourselves...
And finally smiling for the camera!!!
