Well, we are flying through this week and enjoying the time with Lolli. She arrived on Tuesday night and has settled into what we call our routine rather nicely. We went to the doctors office on Wednesday morning and Noah is still doing great and growing rapidly. He is already up to 9 lbs. 1 oz. and 22 inches.
It has been so nice to have Patty here to help me get things done around the house, and be here to hang out with. I still get really tired whenever I do anything, so it was nice to have her here so that after our trip to the doctors office and a short trip to my old work, she could spend some quality time with Noah while I took a nap!:)
We are preparing for more visitors as Aaron's dad and grandma make their way out here. The weather in Colorado is so snowy though, that they haven't had a chance to leave the Springs yet. They were supposed to leave yesterday morning but because the snow came so quickly and in such big quantities, they never made it out of town. If there was ever a time for vehicles to fly, I'm sure Kerry is wishing it was now:) He was ready to be here as soon as Noah arrived, so to be a couple of days later than he had planned has probably been hard for him. But as we are learning in all things, God's timing is better than ours, so there is a reason he hasn't been able to leave yet.

Aunt Marlene, Uncle Mike, Aaron and Noah

It looks like Noah is trying to avoid being seen with the ladies:)

His Cute reindeer outfit:)

The perfect stocking stuffer. Looks like hes wondering what we're doing to him

Our friends and neighbors, Callie, Lillie and Noah.

This week alone has been quite a roller coaster. With Aaron back at work and me and Noah at home by ourselves, we are trying to get used to each other and the new schedule. But nothing could be more rewarding!

Its hard to believe that Noah is already 2 weeks old! How the days are flying. I find myself with lots to do and never enough time. I am slowly beginning to feel like my old self, but I still tire really easily. So I am learning to take it slow.
Aaron's aunt and uncle were down from Chicago for part of the weekend and it was fun for Noah to meet some more of his family. We had a great time with them and they were such a huge help! Aunt Marlene even vacuumed my house for me!
Sunday was Noahs first Sunday at church and did a great job! He, of course, slept through the whole thing, but he had many visitors who have been waiting to meet him.

I made my first attempt at getting out of the house on Friday and was amazed at how much it wore me out!!! It was a good attempt, but I know it will be a little while longer before I can emerge from my hideout alone:):) But it was good to know that at least I can do it if and when I need to.
Aaron's mom comes in tomorrow and I must confess that I am looking forward to the extra pair of hands around the house and for her chance to bond with Noah. Now that Noah is here, it is hard to be so far away from our families, but we are thankful for all the chances God is providing for us to have people come out here or go out there ourselves.

Well, the week on our own has begun and it has been relatively uneventful. Noah has had some trouble feeding, but other than that, things are going good. Aaron had a hard time going back to work and leaving Noah. He got to used to being home:) My parents left early Monday morning and Aaron's mom arrives on Tuesday, the 19th. We are looking forward to having her here and introducing her to her first grandson!!:) It will also be nice to have the extra pair of hands around the house. Who knew life would get so crazy with such a small person. But Aaron and I are learning to role with the punches and enjoy what God has blessed us with. I am also so very thankful for the hands-on, helpful husband God has blessed me with. There are times I'm not so sure about this whole parenting thing, but I am so thankful that Aaron is always so positive and ready to help me work through things. Aaron's aunt and uncle are coming down this weekend, and we are looking foward to having them here. Sorry the pictures are coming as frequently, but as those who have children know, time seems to slip away so easily! A little father/son bonding tummy time Hanging out with mommy while she works on the blog His karate chop Don't you just love those big eyes!!

What a Week!

Wow! What a week it has been. It is incredible to think that Noah is already a Week old (where does the time go?) It has been an amazing week in which Emy and I will never forget and we have a constant reminder of one of God's miracles and His amazing love for us.
Now for the recap.........Emy, Noah and I arrived home on Thursdayy afternoon and began to settle back into our house. Karen and Jim (Nani and Papa) were at our house to greet and welcome us home. The girls and Noah began doing various things around the house while the boys went out and did a little grocery shopping and errand running. We were all able to relax later that evening and catch up with one another. Friday was a pretty relaxing day as well. Thursday night was the first night home with Noah and I think he did really good sleeping but he is a newborn so of course he was up every couple of hours looking for his Mommy. Saturday, we decided to venture out for the first time and man what a difference! It is amazing how 9 lbs of joy can be accompanied by 40 lbs of stuff! It was an adventure but a great one none-the-less. We did a little shopping and had lunch at Olive Garden. Noah was wonderful, he made the whole trip without being the least bit fussy. Funny thing is, this is pretty much his norm. He is such a mild mannered little man and like any Langness, he rolls with the flow! Our Small Group brought us dinner on Saturday night and we just hung around the house. It was fun to have Jim and Karen hang out for a night with some of the great friends we have made here in Indiana. Sunday was pretty much the same, relaxing and spending time with family. Of course, as these days came and went so did the reminder that Nani and Papa's visit was coming to an end. They left at about 4:00 this morning to drop Nani off in Wisconsin for a retreat and Papa was heading to Kansas for a day with his Mother and sisters. It was so great to have them here to share in our joy and they were an incredible help to us. Today we ventured out into the world again. We visited our OB and he said Emy is recovering well and we also saw Noah's pediatrician who said he looks great. After that we headed over to Chipotle to show Noah to some of the staff and eat a little lunch. We also went to 1st Source, Emy's work, to show Noah to friends there. After 1 week, he already had the ladies lovin him!
Love to all and until next time..........

Home at Last!

What a day! For starters Jim and Karen (Emy's Parents) got to the hospital this morning at 2:30am this morning after driving for more than 20 hours from Colorado Springs, CO. Normally visiting hours are from 8:00am to 8:00pm but I was able to work some of my magic and get them in the doors after hours. Actually, the staff was more than accomodating. All of our nurses, doctors and pediatricians have been wonderful and very helpful! A couple nurses even commented how great it was to see such a happy couple enjoying their new baby and wanting to spend so much time with him. We only let him go to the nursery while we were sleeping and we still had him brought in to nurse. Emy, Noah and I were able to leave the hospital today at about noon today. We thought we would have a couple of extra hands to pack the car from the hospital but some individuals, who shall remain nameless, couldn't quite seem to drag themselves out of bed. They said they didn't hear the phone ring (likely excuse) so they ended up calling us at 11:45 this morning. I suppose since they drove for 20 hours straight, we will forgive them but just this once. So Our Family loaded up our Xterra and headed home. It was pretty neat, the weather remind us alot of a Colorado Winter day. It was sun shining with patches of bright blue sky as we let the hospital and then gently blowing slow as we arrived at our home (to the welcome sight of those nameless individuals). Since then we have been settling back to Our house as a family of 3 instead of 2! Here a couple more pics I that I wanted to share. Until next time......... Love to All!

Time's to be awake.......

Times to be still.....

And time to pack it up and go home!

The waiting game…Today was officially my last day of work! It was really bittersweet since I had finally found a great group of people to work with, but its nice to know I’ll be able to come back every now and then. Things at home have slowed down as we have finally finished all of the projects we had on the to-do list before baby arrives. So now, we are enjoying some quiet evenings and just relaxing together. And of course, taking long walks, hoping that helps speed the process along:) Hopefully within the next couple of days (okay, wishful thinking) we’ll have some exciting news to post. I don’t think it has still fully hit me what is really happening. I mean, I know there is a baby in there, but to know that Aaron and I will be fully responsible and this won’t be just another weekend of babysitting for someone else child. THERE’S NO GOING BACK!!!!!!!:)

The nursery is finally finished!!! YEAH!!!! Aaron finished making the changing table on Thursday and we were finally able to bring it up and put it in the room. Its nice to know that whenever this baby comes, his or her room will be ready and waiting. :) We are also finishing up several small projects around the house and can hardly believe that this week is Thanksgiving. I feel a little like a ticking time bomb…at any time I could go off and our lives will be forever changed. People are already planning Christmas parties and celebrations and I find it hard to schedule things now since I have no clue what state I will be in…but at the same time, I really don’t want to just sit at home twiddling my thumbs either. So, I suppose I’ll continue on and when this little one finally decides to join us, we’ll figure it out from there. They said life would fly by once you have children and I think we’re already getting more of a taste of that…within its first month of life, Ziggy will go on his or her first plane ride. Yes, that’s right…as if our life wasn’t already crazy enough (:)), Aaron’s oldest brother is getting married Jan. 12th and of course we couldn’t miss that!!! So we’re going to show the world that Ziggy won’t slow us down, only make things a little more challenging. I keep thinking of all those parents who go through the airports weighted down with all the necessary equipment for their children and I’ve always felt a little sorry for them…now it will be our turn:) But luckily, Ziggy will be so small, he or she shouldn’t need too much. And of course, whats a trip to Colorado in the winter unless you can attend a Colorado Avalanche hockey game! Yes, that’s right…that’s also on the agenda, although, I’ve told Aaron that my going will depend on how tired I am:) But I am glad that Ziggy will get to see Colorado so soon after he or she arrives… I love that Chipotle is finally in town!!!:) I went in Friday night to pick up dinner for Aaron and I and saw our manager friend and we got to talking. We have decided this baby will be addicted to Chipotle just like his or her mother:) And Aaron and I have decided they need to start working on a Chipotle baby food, because of course, this baby will definitely want some of that:) Well, back to the ticking time bomb…we’ll let you know once the little one arrives and hopefully have more pictures to share between now and then.

What an eventful time this weekend turned out to be!! Friday at work, my department threw me a shower with yummy food from Olive Garden. They also showered me with lots of fun things for the baby…clothes, books, toys and diapers were among the goodies. I have been blessed to have a department that I love and am so thankful they welcomed me with open arms. Friday night, we were scheduled to go to small group. We arrived at one of the couple’s houses for small group and found out that they were throwing a surprise shower for me!!! They had made the whole event tropical themed, even down to the glasses with the umbrellas in them. We played several games and enjoyed some more yummy food.:) And I was showered again with so many blessings for the baby. We left Saturday morning and went to spend the weekend with Aaron’s Aunt and Uncle up North of Chicago. We had so much fun with them. It has been a while since we had been able to see them, so we were glad to finally find a time that worked for everyone. We spent Saturday afternoon and evening with them and made plans to meet up with them for lunch on Sunday. Aaron and I enjoyed a leisurely morning on Sunday and met up with Aunt Marlene and Uncle Mike at the restaurant. We walked in and were surprised with yet another shower!! I was a little confused at first since there were a lot of unfamiliar faces and I thought they had just surprised the wrong person. But after glancing around the room, I began to see faces of people I knew. Another one of Aaron’s Aunt and Uncles were there, along with Aaron’s mom!! She had flown up from Colorado!!! I soon found out that the room was filled with many of Aunt Marlene and Uncle Mike’s friends and family. They had gathered to give Aaron and I a shower for the baby! In this world where bad news seems to outweigh the good and people are doing some horrendous things, here a group of people had gathered around to support Aaron and I without even knowing us!!!! I have to say that Aunt Marlene and Uncle Mike have some AMAZING friends and family. Looking back on the weekend, I feel so blessed that God has given us so many caring, supportive friends and family. Even being so far from our families in Colorado, we have found a home here with people who have reminded us that we are loved.

CHIPOTLE!! On Friday, Aaron and I stopped by my favorite restaurant, Chipotle for dinner. Because we eat there so frequently (have to fulfill the cravings:)), we have become well known by at least one of the managers. After placing our order, we were talking with him and he gave me a maternity Chipotle shirt!!! I LOVE IT! On the front it says “Not a Burrito” across the belly and on the back it says “All Guaced Up”. Now I can really advertise for them:)

Well, there are officially 6 weeks left! Things are going really well, the baby is really active (especially when I'm trying to go to sleep:)) In honor of this 6 week mark and in honor of my husband who says that this side profile of our little "Ziggy" is much more clear than the ones I previously posted, here is another 4-D Ultrasound picture. Hope you're all having a great week!

Here are the latest and greatest pictures of the nursery:)

Below are some pictures from our time in Colorado. As you can see we stayed pretty busy. There are pictures from my baby shower, Steph and Dustin's wedding, a golf outing with Aaron's family, hiking with my family and my bible study girls. It was so nice to be near the mountains again! How I miss them!

We had so much fun, but man we were exhausted afterwards. I was never more ready for my week off!
