Tight spaces and time traveling

Apparently, in Noah's world, any tight space is open and available for his use. I wonder if he thinks this is his secret passageway?!?!:)

Uncle Phil, I hope you're okay...Mommy and Daddy were really worried about you!

Noah loves to stand at the gate at the top of the stairs and shout down the stairs. I don't know if he thinks that's where Daddy is during the day when he can't see him, but its kind of funny. And in the top picture, it looks like he's already planning how to break himself out of the upstairs. He's pretty clever...I can just see the day when he figures the gate out fast approaching! YIKES!

LOOK BACK IN TIME...

I have taken several photos recently that have reminded me of past Noah photos....see how much he has changed...

He loves to stand at the windows and look out. Pretty much every blind in the house has to be above his level during the day, because who knows when the next time will be that he will want to check on the neighborhood status:) (Check out the picture below! His hair really is growing, its just super slow!!!!) These first 2 pics are from May...

This is the latest and greatest window pic of my little boy:)

He also loves this chair. He has taught himself how to rock in the chair and every once in a while I'll put him back in there, but I definitely don't go very far:) These first pics were from Feb...

What a difference a few months make!! (we can't get over how round his head used to be!)

Thanksgiving

!!!HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
We had a very nice relaxing day. We hung out at home for the morning and then spent the afternoon with our friends Josh, Erin, Josiah and Locke and their family. It was a great time of food, laughter and planning. All the girls go out the day after Thanksgiving for the CRAZY shopping. Erin has been making claims that she gets unbelievable deals and since I didn't believe her, I told her she had to prove it to me. What an experience! I was up by 3:15 and fighting the madness for almost 6 hours!! All in all, we ended up at 9 stores (not including the 2 stores Erin's sister went to when she dropped us off at one store), met some interesting people and managed to fill the car. It was a good time, but I'm still not sure it was completely worth it. Sorry, Erin, but sleep just may overrule the savings. Maybe as Noah gets older it may be more worth it when planning for Christmas and birthdays. But since we were ahead of the game this year, there really wasn't much we needed this year. So, I suppose I could say I earned my crazy shopping day Mother's badge this weekend. I can't wait to see which badge comes next:):):)

Josh, Erin, Emy & Locke

Noah liked to push around this Fisher Price garage.

I was torn between these 2 expressive pics of my boys, so I thought I'd just post them both...they're best buds in the silly times and tired times:)

I was working around the house and heard Noah crying and came to find him like this. He had gotten stuck between the couch and endtable:)

The progression of a breadroll

Noah LOVES food (once we got him to start feeding himself:)) He especially loves bread of any kind, but then again, what child doesn't?!?! He shoves all that we put on his plate into his mouth and stuffs his cheeks and fists whats left over in his little hands. Then he looks to us to give him more. When he has all he can fit in his mouth, he then goes for the sippy cup to hopefully wash it all down without having to chew. We think he's forgotten how to chew and has decided that the way of the chipmunk is much smarter than those silly Mommy and Daddy ideas:)
When he reaches for his cup, he doesn't want to put down the bread still left in his hands, so he tries to grab at the handles or grabs it with his wrists:) Its quite the sight to watch...hopefully he'll be a little more refined by the time he has his first date (when he's 30 if Mommy has any say in it:))

Watch how fast I can make this disappear.

YUMMY!

Didn't you love my magic trick? Poof! ALL GONE! ( I have found this to be the best method to get Mommy and Daddy to give me more)

My favorite thing...

Okay, Mama...is the camera ready so I can show everybody?

No! I don't want you to show them, I want to show them...

Thank you...now I need to go over to where I keep it...

The drawer won't open!!!!

Sorry..due to some technocal difficulties (The drawer won't open and Mama keeps moving my stuff!), I may have to show you something else besides my favorite thing.

Oh, wait....I think I finally found it

And here it is...my remote!

Watch...

Wait, let's try that again...

Hmmm...what's wrong now?

Maa-ma...did you forget to put new batteries in here?!?!

Okay, here we go...now it should work. Isn't it cool?!?!?! Things just magically appear:)

My growing boy

Noah is getting so big! I almost want to start crying when I think he is already turning one:) Alas, it must come and I definitely can't stop him from the curiosity that makes him grow even faster:)
He loves our toothbrushes and grabs ahold of my hand so he can do it too:)

This really shows his personality:)

Bathtime in the kitchen sink

LOOK BACK IN TIME!!!

Here's a look back in time to May...6 months ago...it may not look like it to you guys, but its amazing how much he has grown!!!
Noah loves water. So, this weekend, I put him in the kitchen sink while I was cleaning up and he had a blast (as you can tell from the pictures below).

Watch out, Mommy....I'm gonna gitcha!

Look how big I am, Mommy....if I sit up straight, does that make me look taller?

Whatcha doing up there, Mommy?

Poppi, I LOVE the faucet you installed. (I think Mommy loves it too!)

Hanging out at home

We enjoyed a very lazy weekend at home. Aaron was traveling for work, so Noah and I had our first pajama day. We played, slept, wiped one really runny nose and did a little cleaning too. It was so nice.

Noah really enjoys this new chair we got from our friends Andrew and Anitra. Thanks guys!! Noah likes to help me cook now.
Noah and one of his favorite toys-his orange.

Noah and monkey were pretending they were in jail. (okay, so Mommy was pretending, but atleast Noah and the monkey went along with it:))

My unhappy boy...

Enjoying some quality time with Daddy

Mr. Active

Noah is really cruising around the house now. Just this morning, I was folding laundry in the family room and he was crawling from furniture to furniture to window to highchair-pulling himself up and talking all along the way. I love to see him putting things together and understanding things. We are learning to how to pick up toys and put them away and although it is slow going (he'd rather play with the toys than put them away), we're making headway:)

We are also starting to wean him off of baby food and onto normal adult food. Its not always easy since he is allergic to anything dairy, but I finally found some great dairy free yogurt, cheese and milk. I'm going to try cooking with these instead of the dairy so that we can feed Noah what we are eating for dinner too. As we are introducing adult food, I am realizing that my little boy doesn't like anything slimy, squishy or gooey. He'll eat bread, crackers and nilla wafers all day long if you let him, but put a couple green beans, peaches or carrots in front of him and he'll try to get as far away from them as possible:) This morning I put some bread and peaches out for him to pick up himself and he actually dug around the peaches for the bread!! OH, the joys of parenthood!!!

Hopefully I'll have more pictures to add soon. Hope you all enjoy the weekend!

We bought Noah an early birthday present and he LOVES it! He is cruising all around the house now and I have never heard him laugh so much.:) He does however, keep running into walls, so we'll have to install some bumper pads on the front to protect the world around him as he bangs around. He is getting more and more active all the time. He loves to look out the windows and its an added bonus if Mommy hasn't pulled the blinds up yet. We're praying the blinds outlast Noah's curiousity. Here's a video of Noah's latest adventures...

Lions, cowboys and boys...oh my!

My little Lion!
We really weren't interested in the whole trick-or-treat thing, but we thought it would be fun to dress up anyways:) We visited some friends around the neighborhood and then went to spend the evening with friends. I had been working with Noah all day on trying to roar and he did it just once, for the neighbors:) He actually enjoyed the costume much more than I thought he would.

Mr. Lion and his Lion Tamer

My silly boys:) We're still trying to teach Mr. Lion that he is supposed to be the one eating Mr. Cowboy, no the other way around. Oh well...:)

Even Lions have bad days

Once we put the mittens on him, his hands balled up and he wasn't sure what to do.

One happy family. I wish I would have gotten a picture of his head from the back. It looked like he had stuck his finger in a light socket:)

Noah enjoyed playing with this balloon. And as an added plus, while we took Poppi and Lolli to the airport, it made for a great baby detector. I always knew where he was. (atleast I did when it had air)

I'm ready for my closeup, Mommy!

Alas, every good toy and the boy must part ways at some time...

He loves to read his books. He won't sit on Mommy's lap and read with her, but he'll read to himself...I suppose that does buy Mommy a few extra minutes to get things done.

My cowboys...they're off to go find their cattle.

If you look at his right hand, he is holding the cord for the blinds. He loves it. He'll spend a really long time just holding it and swinging it around. Who said a kid needs toys? Just give him stuff from around the house and he'll be fine.
